Virgin, Reformer of the Poor Clares
(1380-1447)

After a holy childhood, Colette joined a society of devout women called the Beguines. Not finding their state sufficiently austere, she entered the Third Order of Saint Francis, and lived in a hut near her parish church of Corbie in Picardy. Here she had passed four years in extraordinary penance when Saint Francis, in a vision, bade her undertake the reform of her Order, then much relaxed. She doubted for a time and was struck with muteness for three days and blindness for another three. Finally, fortified by ecclesiastical authority, she established the reform throughout a large part of Europe, and, in spite of the most violent opposition, founded seventeen convents of the strict observance.


By the same wonderful prudence she helped to heal the great schism which then afflicted the Church. The Fathers in council at Constance were in doubt as to how to deal with the three claimants to the tiara — John XXIII, Benedict XIII, and Gregory XII. At this crisis Colette, together with Saint Vincent Ferrer, wrote to the Fathers to depose Benedict XIII, who alone refused his consent to a new election. This was done, and Martin V was elected, to the great good of the Church.


Colette also assisted the Council of Basle by her advice and prayers, and when God revealed to her the spirit of revolt which was rising there, she warned the bishops and legates to retire from the council.


Saint Colette never ceased to pray for the Church, while the devils, for their part, never ceased to assault her. They swarmed round her in the form of hideous insects, buzzing and stinging her tender skin. They brought into her cell the decaying corpses of public criminals, and assuming monstrous forms themselves, struck her savage blows. Or they would appear in the most seductive guise, and tempt her by many deceits to sin. Saint Colette once complained to Our Lord that the demons prevented her from praying. “Cease, then,” said the devil to her, “your prayers to the great Master of the Church, and we will cease to torment you; for you torment us more by your prayers than we do you.” Yet the virgin of Christ triumphed alike over their threats and their allurements, and said she would count the day during which she suffered nothing for her God, the unhappiest of her life. She died March 6, 1447, in a transport of intercession for sinners and the Church.

Yeah i went to take a blood test today.
It was like super damn pain lar.
Somemore i kena injected both sides.
Stupid...
Because he need quite a lot of blood for the testing.
Cause my parents also wanted me to test for hepatitis B,
then we told the doctor, so he said why not take A also.
OK LORRRRR.....
And this line above made me suffer twice.
TWO SAMPLES OF BLOOD!!!
SO ITS LIKE 1 SYRINGE WORTH OF BLOOD.
He was trying to find the vein on the left hand.
Then *poke* eee.
after the needle went in already it wasn't as pain.
But then i think he couldn't get the needle.
So he was like twisting and turning and pushing the needle.
It was like what he heck.
Then that side only managed to give half a syringe of blood.
Still got so much more to go.
Then he suggested my right hand.
Haiz haiz haiz oooo kkkkkk ...
*poke* stssss.
I was thinking:
Hey vein dont fail me ok!
Give the doctor more blood.
Goodthing the right side got more blood.
Phew.
Then paid up and went home.
I think i look like an idiot who have 2 plasters on both hands.

Yeah the good thing is that there is no school tomorrow.
But i still can't sleep in, cause i have to visit the doctor.

I am going to the clinic to find out my blood group.
I should be a B+ because both of my parents are also a B+.
But i think i would still be safer to test it.

My eyes are shrinking day by day you know.

Had another Junior Cats meeting today.
Practically its quite meaningful.
We learned how to hold meetings, and so on.
Haiz i had to lead in next week's meeting,
the evaluation of the Youth Eucharist.
Then i have to email father the proposal.
How am i supposed to get this done on a term test week.
Then Father wants us to go to church on weekdays,
to set up the altar for the weekday eucharist.

I so want my holidays and my 10hrs of sleep back.

Later i we had our 8 or 9 station of the cross.
Haha couldn't decide on what to do again.
Anyway i wanted to go home, but i missed 2 buses so i decided to walk home.
Then i said bye to them.
I sped up my pace and walked in the opposite direction home.
Then all of a sudden i heard people screaming my name.
LOL its the other J.Cs.
Very weird, i didn't know what they wanted?
But they say they wanted to send me home.
Haha really nice of them.
So we walked and walked.
Then Pris, Aaron, and Clarisson walked me to the next bus stop as they had something on.
I was trying to get both Dorothy and Francesca to go off first.
But Dorothy and Francesca walked me all the way to my block.
Haha i was really happy though.

Phew another day just passed like that.
Today was super super tiring.
We couldn't practice in the beethoven room because of the EV thingy.
First part of the day we were running around to settle many things.

Waited for Claudia and the other librarians.
Later everything settle already, went back to choir practice.


LOL sing and sing and non stop singing for 2 whole hours.

After choir went to eat dinner with Yanting.
Then we saw Yiling and Yong Qing so we went to join them.
After eating i went to Causeway Point to buy my water bottle.

I had another long day today, and we had Physics extra lesson after school.
As usual, Maths with her was as boring as ever.
The way she teaches, aiyo really as fast as a snail.

Went to church in the morning.
Haha Father Bruno was very funny.
His homliy also very funny.
He told a story about the lion who was living among the sheeps.
And the lion thought that he was a sheep.
So he ask the children what sound did the lion make.
"Meh Meh."
Then he said correct.
One day the lion's cousin came looking for him and saw him with the sheeps.
What sound did the lion's cousin make?
"Rawr Rawr"
Correct.
Then the cousin asked the little lion why was he with the sheeps,
Father Bruno asked the kids what did the little lion reply?
"Meh Meh."
So the Lion's cousin brought this little lion to the lake,
and asked him to look at the reflection.
Father Bruno asked again, So what did the little lion see?
One of the small boy said, "A SHARK!"
LOL the whole church ended up laughing.
Well later went to NTUC to buy the mandrin oranges and our daily necessities.
Later went to change the lenses of my specs, because i the specs not very clear already.
Wow the uncle say got a lot of scratches.
Then he test the degree for me.
Haiz increase again.
Must cut down on tv and computer usage already.
Going to my cousins house later.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!!
I know that it is a little late but i didn't have much time to blog this few days.
And and really sorry MJ, for not attending your housewarming party.
But i really had a great time at the new year countdown in church.
Had a thanksgiving Eucharist first.
It was realy meaningful especially for us to reflect,
especially about the year that just passed by.
It was difficult especially wearing a dress.
Haha almost at all times i had to watch how i sat.
So unlike me.
Nvm we went to help to make the drink.
Then later headed to the dancing room.
Had much fun dancing too.
Later went to grab somethings to eat.
Oh very nice, then later went back to the dancing room.
Later my parents came.
Haha i very happy that they came.
Well Pris had to leave early, haiz hoped that she could stay longer although.
So i danced with Aaron.
Haha and i think that Aaron is proud that he can do the dip already.
Then later i think the J.Cs were too tired to dance.
We rested and went to order food.
Actually they wanted to eat KFC, but they did not do midnight deliveries.
So no choice but to eat McDonald.


Soon 12midnight came.

Happy New Year.
Then we sang some songs and rushed out of the room.
The music was really too noisy.
Gen, Aaron and i went to the dance room.
Well i had to leave at 1am cause my mom was waiting for me.
We went out and in of the room.
Then later we wanted to take photos haha.
I kept on rushing them cause i need to go.
So Aaron went to check what music was playing now,
Ahhhh Salsa, the dance we dislke the most.
So we continued to take photos instead.
Later at around 12.50am, Aaron went to check the music again.
Yeah no more salsa.
It was the Jive.
So we went to dance.
Yeah this was the most fun dance, although it drained all our energy...
Then i left cause it was already 1.
Didn't want to keep my mother waiting.
Haha gave the J.Cs and father Terence a hug and left.
Well actually i wanted to take a bus,
but my mom said that we may have to wait very long for the bus as was late at night.
So we walked all the way home.
But on the way we saw the bus, haha and was like aiya!
